Samsung launches U3 MP3 player

The Samsung U3 is a super-compact device, driven by flash memory and equipped with a Slim USB connection that works straight from the box. Weighing only 22.8g, the U3 is available in five fashionable colours ranging from the more sophisticated white and black versions to the bolder green, pink and blue with the colour-matched EP360 earphones and reel.

Models range from 1GB to 4GB (from 250 to 1000 songs), enabling you to store a complete music library, and play each song at its optimal quality. Just choose from 12 preset equalizer settings to suit your tunes or customize your own settings for a personalized music experience.

The U3 also employs a sound engine exclusive to Samsung which enhances sound quality. "The U3 utilizes Samsung's proprietary sound technology, Digital Natural Sound engine" explained Menon. "The DNSe guarantees a more accurate and natural sound by optimizing sound quality and compensating for sound deficiencies, thus providing a true-to-life surround sound experience."

With the U3, Samsung has removed the need for cables, cords or docks, or the need to install programs with the built in slim USB connector which you can plug into any PC USB port for charging or to drag and drop music files to your ear's content.

The U3 also features Samsung Media Studio (SMS) which provides added features that will greatly enhance your U3 experience. Working seamlessly with your U3, Automatic Mood Playlist enables you to organize your songs according to mood. This allows you to access a music playlist based on your current state. One click organizes your entire music library, and updates your U3. Now you don't have to spend time creating individual playlists - the Automatic Mood Playlist does it for you.
