The DSS website uses the latest technology to help surfers get all the information they want at the click of a mouse. The website is updated regularly to keep up with technological advancements and equipped with the latest tools and technical know-how to modernise it.
The portal provides the perfect interface between people and the summer festival, not just locally but also for regional and international visitors. It also provides surfers information on how to download the first ever interactive mobile portal recently launched for the DSS 2007.
In order to save time, the DSS Office designed the website in a way to increase interactivity between DSS and its visitors by making it easier for the general public and the private sector to participate and be part of DSS. Registration forms for In-Mall events like Photography Exhibition are available on the website. Spa enthusiasts can also obtain comprehensive information on the DSS 2007 Spa Packages, where 21 of the finest spas in Dubai are offering promotions throughout DSS 2007.
On the other hand, tourists coming to Dubai can view on the website on how they can reach Dubai from other UAE cities, as well as an explanatory map for the key streets, movie theatres, restaurants, cafes, shopping centres and parks in the Emirate.
Giving a day by day roundup of DSS, the website is a virtual tour guide of the annual summer event that is celebrating its tenth anniversary, with all news items and features issued by the DSS Media Centre on the DSS 10th edition being available at a click of a mouse.
"The DSS website is designed to increase interactivity between the DSS and different segments of visitors. With the region in general and Dubai in particular having one of the highest number of internet surfers, getting in touch with the public via the internet is becoming all the more important,"
said Laila Suhail, the DSS Executive Project Director.
"The website is an appropriate platform through which we can exchange views with the public with the objective of positioning DSS as the leading economic and tourist summer event not only in the region but rather worldwide," she concluded.
