Intel Extreme laptops

Intel has introduced its X7800 Core 2 Extreme Mobile processor for laptops, PC World reports. The 2.6ghz chip is a 200mhz increase over the highest Core 2 Duo, the 2.4ghz T7700. The core architecture is the same, but the Extreme has unlocked multiplier variants, allowing users such as high-end to try and get even more performance out of it. It also runs hotter than the Core 2 Duo.
