He cited the phenomenal growth of this vital sector - with leading international insurance firms keen to establish their headquarters in Bahrain.
The crown Prince and Economic Development Board Chairman Shaikh Salman bin Hamad AL Khalifa made his remarks while receiving Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Rasheed AL Maraj.
The CBB Chief presented the new board of the Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA) chaired by Ashraf Adnan Bseisu.
Shaikh Salman praised Bahrain's working in insurance and efforts that have contributed to its outstanding performance. The Crown Prince praised the growth rate if the insurance sector within the framework of legislation and laws.
The EDB chairman also affirmed that Bahrain looks forward to the enhancement of the services it offers and also to become a regional centre in the domain.
Bahrain is preparing to host a conference of the General Arab Insurance Federation next year.
