Osman Sultan, CEO of Du, said in a statement that it was given a limited testing environment by Etisalat on 2 July, which identified a list of issues. These were given to Etisalat on 8 July.
The statement added: 'Du is waiting for Etisalat to confirm the rectification of identified defects.' The telco is also still waiting for 'Etisalat's confirmation to open lines to enable this application nationwide to allow Du to launch', it said.
