Masraf Al Rayan launches main branch
- Qatar: Wednesday, July 18 - 2007 at 08:36
- PRESS RELEASE
Masraf Al Rayan unveiled its new main branch on Grand Hamad Street, with the promise to offer a fresh banking experience for its growing number of customers.
"This is a very exciting day for Masraf Al Rayan to expand into the heart of Qatar's financial district. Due to our continued growth and strong demand from customers, we have been looking to branch out into Qatar's historic financial neighbourhood," stated Masraf Al Rayan CEO, Mr. Adel Mustafawi.
"We believe our new main branch on Grand Hamad Street will allow us to provide existing and new customers with additional choices and an altogether unrivalled personal banking experience," added Mr. Mustafawi.
The new branch will offer a full range of personal and business banking services including personal banking, private banking and finance. In addition, the branch will offer customers 24-hour ATM access.
What really sets Masraf al Rayan apart from other banks is the way in which we have succeeded in creating a unique banking environment, where the needs of the customer come first.
Khalid Fakhroo, Executive Manager of Engineering at Masraf Al Rayan, explains: "Our main aim is to create a different kind of bank, something very different from anything currently available in Doha. We wanted customers to feel like they are treated with respect and cared for personally. The Grand Hamad Street branch has been designed to make the customer feel relaxed in a lounge-like atmosphere."
Unlike other banks, where customers have to stand while trying to talk to staff through glass windows, the new Masraf Al Rayan branch allows customers to be seated and communicate without barriers.
"Banking has become an impersonal experience and we really wanted to offer an alternative, a banking environment that was efficient and welcoming. The colour scheme is based on warm beiges and browns; the setting designed to create a calming and intimate atmosphere. The Private Banking floor on the mezzanine is even more luxurious, with a dedicated section giving Private Banking customers complete privacy in relaxed, exclusive surroundings," Fakhroo added.
Yet another innovative touch is that all Masraf Al Rayan branches have their own operations, not centralised as is the case with other banks. For customers, this means banking procedures are fast tracked and issues resolved much quicker.
Grand Hamad Street is the second and main branch for Masraf Al Rayan and further proof of the bank's ambitious expansion plans. On the agenda for this year are two further branch openings, along with extra services at Grand Hamad Street.
