At the announcement, Dr. Mahmood Awan, Chair of Marketing Department at the University mentioned that the main purpose of the society is to foster linkage between Marketing industry and UD and to encourage the exchange of ideas among members with similar interests.
It was also announced that the society will be run by the alumni of UD guided by the Chair of Marketing Department.
Mr. Hasan Hussain, one of the participants at the gathering described the announcement of the society, as historic.
Mr. Hasan graduated from UD with marketing major in 2005 from UD and working currently as marketing co-coordinator for Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The election date of the society members will be announced soon.
