Making Life Easier - Emirates is expanding its Chauffeur-drive services across Europe for First and Business Class passengers.
The latest addition to the Emirates Chauffeur-drive network is in Newcastle. From 1st September, when Emirates launches its daily Dubai-Newcastle service, the airline will offer Chauffeur-drive facilities to First and Business Class Passengers.

The free transfer, which also includes people carriers, applies within a 70 mile radius of Newcastle International Airport. A charge of GBP 21.15 (including VAT) will be levied for each additional 10 miles beyond that radius.

In addition, Emirates is expanding its Chauffeur-drive service in and out of Milan by offering a special transfer into neighbouring Switzerland.

The Chauffeur-drive service between Milan and Lugano is free of charge to First and Business Class Passengers travelling to and from Milan, with drop off or pick up, to and from Lugano in Switzerland.

The special service, which started on 15th July, provides easy access to Premium passengers between the two locations and strengthens the catchment area around Milan. The journey is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

On arrival at Milan's Malpensa airport, the Chauffeur will wait for passengers after customs in the arrival hall (B exit) with an EK welcome sign board.

For departing passengers, the minimum pick-up time required from a designated hotel or residential address in Lugano will be 3 hours 30 minutes prior to the departure of the flight.

Premium travellers can expect to be transported in Mercedes E Class/ Audi A6 or BMW 5 series vehicles.

If necessary, passengers can request people movers, which include Chrysler Grand Voyager or Mercedes V Class, or a car of equivalent type and quality. There is no mileage charge for trips that begin or end within the city of Lugano. Charges outside the city limits are EUR 1.6 per kilometre.

Emirates now has three gateways into Italy - Rome, Milan and since 1st July, flights have operated between Dubai and Venice, opening up the commercially important north east region of Italy, and providing the only direct air link between Venice and the Middle East.

Emirates' Premium passengers arriving in Venice enjoy a particularly special transfer service - by water. Emirates is the only airline in the world offering a Water Limousine Airport Transfer Service.

Passengers can pick up the complimentary service from a dedicated pier at Venice Marco Polo Airport, or from their hotel - and be transported in style across the Venetian Lagoon.
