Axiom in Pantaloon deal

Retail chain Pantaloon Retail India has formed a joint venture with the UAE's Axiom Telecom which will see mobile handsets distributed across India, reported Reuters. The JV will have a capital base of up to $40m and it will target revenues of $200m in its first year. It was reported here last month that Axiom was to form a $250m JV with an Indian retailer.
