Prices down in Doha

Doha's Central Market has seen an increase in imports and also a reduction in the price of fruit and vegetables since Qatar's Ministry of Economy and Commerce clamped down on middlemen by stopping the practice of bidding on imports, reported The Peninsula. Since the ruling came into effect a few days ago, more customers have visited the market and competition between retailers has helped drive down prices.
