Kuwait has solar potential

Kuwait, presently a major oil producer, is expected to be an exporter of electricity generated from solar power by 2050, according to Professor Adel Hussein of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research and cited by the KUNA. A study by German scientists has shown that utilising 10% of Kuwait's total area for solar power could generate the equivalent of around 500,000 barrels of oil per day.
