Dubai Health Authority has announced today members of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders will be exempted from paying fees for licenses and renewals.

The exemption will help smaller medical services firms to cut operational costs.

The decision highlights the department's commitment to Dubai government's vision and the strategic plan which stress the importance of nurturing SMEs in the country.

Qadhi Saeed Al-Murooshid, Director General, Dubai Health Authority, said: 'We are keen to offer all possible support to the emerging UAE National entrepreneurs. Supporting small businesses is a national duty which requires sincere participation from the government and private sector. With our gesture, we would like to ensure a growing number of smaller UAE businesses prosper into large enterprises.'

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders has embarked on an initiative to gain support for its members. Many ministries and local government entities have already provided excellent cooperation, offering members various privileges ranging from fee exemption to sizeable business deals.

Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, praised the government sector cooperation and invited large UAE enterprises to show similar degree of support to smaller companies.

'Collective efforts can significantly change the country's entrepreneurial scenario. The role of SMEs now receives greater attention worldwide. In many countries, this sector's contribution to the GDP has considerably increased,' Al Janahi said.

'There are huge opportunities for SMEs to benefit from the country's tremendous economic growth. By collaborating with leading local and federal government departments, we encourage our members to capitalise on these opportunities,' Al Janahi added.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders offers a wide range of enabling services to members including facilitating business agreements with leading government and private sector companies. These services include business consultancy, training programmes and logistical support.
