Certo first restaurant in Dubai to receive coveted 'Mangia Italia' award

The Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City has underscored its reputation as a leading dining destination after its authentic Italian restaurant, Certo, received Italy's top cuisine honours, the 'Mangia Italia', for excellence in food and service and the promotion of Italian culture.

The certification is awarded by the Accademia Italiana della Cucina - Italy's non-profit institution tasked with safeguarding, together with the traditions of Italian cuisine, the culture and heritage of the nation's food across the globe.

His Excellency Paolo Dionisi, Ambassador of Italy in the UAE and head of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina's local chapter presented the certification at a special dinner at Certo.

Siegfried Nierhaus, General Manager, Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City, added: "Chef Marco and the restaurant manager Kafka Pucciarelli and their team have shown true Italian passion , which is displayed in the food, ambiance, feel and understanding of everything they do. Certo is well known amongst connoisseurs because of the close attention paid to all aspects of Italian cuisine and history, and we are honoured to be the first Italian restaurant in Dubai to receive this recognition."

The Radisson SAS, Hotel Dubai Media City was the first hotel to open in the free-zone and has helped transform the reputation of Media City from being the perfect working environment into the first choice for social happenings.

The 246-room property consists of two towers linked by a walking bridge on the second floor. It is home to two restaurants including the Italian restaurant Certo - awarded Best Italian Restaurant at the Time Out awards 2007 - two bars, the Tamanya rooftop terrace, 12 meeting rooms and the Senso Wellness centre.
