Al Arrab will be implementing the project and portfolio management and strategic enterprise management modules across the group to help them more effectively run their projects, enabling them to ensure better performance throughout the entire organization and effectively communicate with their stakeholders.
Executives with Al Arrab say that the company is growing quickly and expanding into new territories and new lines of business. The expansion drive has led senior management to take the decision to implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system capable of supporting substantial growth, while meeting their sector-specific needs and reducing their IT complexity.
'We are in a phase of tremendous expansion, but we are still one team operationally,' said Samer Arafa, Executive Vice President, Al Arrab Contracting Company. 'By selecting the full SAP offering for our entire organization along with the project management capability, Al Arrab is ensuring the necessary IT infrastructure is in place to support our need for increased capacity and to meet the market demands.'
'Al Arrab were looking for a system that would support the business processes of a project oriented company, and SAP was best positioned to provide the agility they were looking for as they grew in organization size and complexity,' said Essam Enany, President, SAP Arabia. 'When we elaborated on the SAP offering, Al Arrab understood the immediate benefits. We eagerly look forward to their 'go-live' date in Q1 of next year.'
