Acer launches high performance 'gaming machine'

Acer Computer, the world's third largest IT vendor today launched its ultimate multimedia gaming machine the E700, to the delight of the UAE gaming community.
"This product was developed to enhance the PC experience, not just for the average user, but also the gaming enthusiasts -who in today's competitive market-demand the best," said Sanjay Kachroo, Product Marketing Manager, Desktops and Servers, Acer M.E. Ltd.
"The E700 is a high performance machine, harnessing cutting-edge technologies pioneered specifically for a singular purpose - to enhance the gaming experience. Gaming enthusiasts will be impressed," added Kachroo.
The E700 operates on the Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. Intel Core 2 Quad processors supply the firepower, with a very high-end graphic engine, the nVidia G8800GTS, providing the muscle.
"We wanted to offer something extraordinary and the E700 gave us the opportunity to incorporate many state-of-the-art technologies to provide a value-added product that will excite users," said Kachroo.
The E700 comes with a 22-inch LCD screen, a digital TV tuner that allows the user to watch one channel while recording at a time; it has a dual layer DVD-writer and a 500 GB HDD. An 18-in-one memory card reader, with eight USB-2 ports is also standard.
The 'Beast' allows a total storage capacity of half a Terabyte (2 x 250 GB HDD). The E700 also comes complete with a total entertainment pack that includes high-end PC games like Microsoft's Flight simulator, and Rally Sport Challenge.
"With the E700, users can easily multi-task their entertainment with productive applications. Its stylish, easy-to-use and offers truly high performance," concluded Kachroo.
Acer Computer (M.E) has been awarded 'Superbrands' status for 2007 by the Superbrands organisation, an independent arbiter on branding.
