These students have chosen a language specialization in either German or Spanish, in line with the French Business Curriculum.

The first group of students headed to Spain, Salamanca to master the Spanish language by enrolling at Spanish language institute and living with Spanish families. The second group traveling to Germany was hosted by German families in Bremen, to further improve their language and engage in the German culture and everyday life.

Pr. Ronald Perlwitz, Head of Business and languages studies and Professor of the German literature at the university, commented: 'Students' weekday's schedule comprises of 7 hours of intensive courses at Bremen German language Institute. Students are very much encouraged to discuss easily with the host families in the evenings different topics applying the language skills they acquire during the day courses'.

Both trips have been a great success. Students also enjoy a cultural program during the week-ends, traveling to important cultural sites and cities. The German Trip students visited important cities like Berlin and Hamburg. This program is designed to allow them to better understand the culture and history program they study at PSUAD.

Students are more than enthusiastic about their experience. Their progress in the foreign languages is impressive and makes the academic staff confident that students will be fluent not only in French, but also in German or Spanish at the end of second year.

Mariam YACOUT, a student in the first year of BA said: 'We are improving our language command a lot, and as students we also enjoy discovering another culture and speaking German in its homeland'.

Dr. Daniel Balland, Director General of PSUAD highlighted the fact that: 'In today's world, acquiring languages is a must. We are very proud at PSUAD to progress the language ability of our students. It's definitely a key factor for a better future and career opportunity.'
Furthermore, this first experience abroad has been an important step for the students who will do their internships over the coming years in foreign companies; thus work in foreign environments that they have been familiarized to.

Driven from its motto, Bridge between Civilisations, PSUAD emphasizes the importance of acquiring many languages. Coming from multinational backgrounds, students will be tri-lingual upon graduation, if not quadrilingual, mastering fluent French, German or Spanish and their native language Arabic and/or English.
