HSBC Bank sponsors the 2007 Summer Festival

HSBC Bank Middle East Limited is the Silver Sponsor of this year's 2007 Amman Summer Festival, which aims at promoting Amman's distinctive cultural offerings.

HSBC Bank's support for the Summer Festival enables the Festival to cover activities such as traditional music folklore groups, art forums as well as theatrical performances in a multitude of locations in both east and west Amman.

Many of Amman's most prominent streets and parks such as King Hussein Park, King Hussein Cultural Center, Wakalat Street, the Roman Amphitheater and others showcase Jordanian talent, which helps benefit the cultural and cosmopolitan development that the city is already undergoing. Numerous international performers such as Massari and Jennifer Rouse as well as local artists like Hisham Yanis and folklore dance groups are performing during the two month Festival.

HSBC recognizes the impact that the Festival will have in invigorating Amman's cultural magnetism, as well as encouraging more ongoing youth participation. Accordingly, the Bank's support encourages the Summer Festival to continue its efforts in instilling a sense of community responsibility. HSBC's decision to support the Summer Festival also aims at providing people from all economic backgrounds and ages with an opportunity to explore fine art in all of its forms, strengthening the cultural vitality of the city, while at the same time helping youth segments develop by exposing them to different art forms.
