All facilities and care are provided through the eSummer program so that children can benefit from and enjoy the summer vacation. Different educational, sporting, cultural, and crafts activities have been arranged for children between the age group of 6 and 12.
Al Sharid said:
"The annual cultural and entertainment summer event is a crucial part of Etisalat's strategy to continually develop its relationship with the community. Etisalat makes every effort to reach all parts of the community through its continuous social initiatives and programs. This initiative aims at supporting and spreading Information Technology throughout the UAE. The program, which was first launched in 2001 has experienced great success and has exceeded our highest expectations. The program has developed its own identity as a cultural, educational and entertainment program held every year during summer."
Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager Etisalat Academy, said: "The program is designed specifically as an educational and cultural event which also entertains children. The daily activities will include learning the basics of using a PC and the advantages of using the Internet to search for scientific and health information. Also on offer are sports training sessions in swimming, Karate, Judo, basketball, volleyball, billiard, table tennis and art classes in painting, coloring, design and crafts."
He also added: "The Academy has all the facilities necessary to guarantee a entertaining summer vacation for children. Furthermore, participating children can extend their cultural awareness on visits to the Academy Library, which enjoys an archive of stories, books, and magazines that highlight the UAE's heritage and landmarks. Additionally, a weekly trip will be arranged for children to visit heritage landmarks in Dubai and Sharjah. It is a great honor to work in association with Oman Insurance, Wild Wadi, Lancor, Al Rawabi, and Mr. Baker."
The program will also include environment awareness activities that will introduce the children to good social and environment practices which benefit the community as a whole. In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the children have a week dedicated to helping people with special needs.
A full range of services and facilities will be provided for families visiting the Academy. The program is scheduled to begin every morning from 8:30am until 1:30pm. Meals and transportation will also be provided.
