Dubai delegation showcases investment opportunities in Korea

A delegation from The Dubai International Character & Licensing Fair, a unique fair that will be held in Dubai from 28 - 30 October 2008, will participate in the Seoul Character Fair in Korea from 25 - 29 July 2007.

Dubai was chosen to represent the entire MENA region in the annual event.

Participants in the exhibition include licensors of culture contents, manufacturers, licensing agencies, and retailers of animation, video games and comics.

The delegation will include prominent Dubai media and entertainment business figures such as Abdullatif Al Sayegh, CEO of Arab Media Group, and Mohammed Al Habai, CEO of Dubailand, both of whom will deliver key addresses at the event.

The delegation will showcase investment opportunities in UAE and will invite select international firms to participate in the next Character Dubai exhibition, to be held in October 2008.

Abdullatif Al Sayegh stated: "This exhibition is an excellent chance to showcase what Dubai has to offer to investors from the Asian 'tiger' countries. These individuals understand the opportunities inherent in high-growth economies, since they have undergone fast-paced change in the past are doing so again.

The fact that Dubai has been chosen to represent MENA is proof that the Emirates is clearly on the map globally as the economic and cultural powerhouse of this region. We are extremely honoured to be able to lead this delegation and demonstrate the UAE's strengths to a distinguished international audience."
