Called Supply Chain IQ, this division has started a string of supply chain related events that will focus on the points of pain for the decision makers of the industry. Part of IQPC Middle East - the regional arm of IQPC, one of the world's largest conference organizers - Supply Chain IQ was launched with the aim of centralizing the focal point for information and solutions and most importantly networking for the people who make the industry tick.
Present at the launch evening were people from different parent industries including Oil & Gas, Trading, Travel, Media and Telecoms. Companies like du, Kanoo Group, Maersk Logistics and Concept Group all hailed the launch and called it a new chapter in the region's logistics and supply chain development. 'Excellent, excellent, excellent' is what the UAE's second telecoms operator had to say, while another exhorted, 'It's about time someone did something like this, the supply chain playing field needs this as much as any other industry, if not more. After all, all other industries rely on their supply chains to deliver.'
With the competition in the region getting tougher, IQPC says its aim is to rise above the crowd and provide not generic but niche, important and specific events tailored for each sector within the industry.
Supply Chain IQ launch welcomed by industry leaders
With much anticipation, the logistics and supply chain events division of IQPC Middle East was launched on Tuesday at the Shangri-La Hotel.
