Marriott properties in Dubai expand their teams

Marriott Dubai,Courtyard by Marriott Dubai and JW Marriott Dubai announce new appointments.
After joining Marriott in 1999, deSouza set his career in motion at the JW Marriott Dubai as the Restaurant Manager of Bamboo Lagoon.
Two short years later, he was promoted as the Assistant Manager of Bamboo Lagoon, The Market Place and Hofbräuhaus, and by 2003 was again promoted to Manager.
In 2004, deSouza expanded his horizons and moved into Banqueting Operations, where he worked for three years as the Banquet and Catering Operations Manager at the JW Marriott Dubai prior to his transfer to the Courtyard by Marriott Dubai Green Community in July 2007 as the Director of Food and Beverage.
DeSouza's passion for food and beverage was initiated while he was completing his degree in Business Management in India, and working part time as an Assistant Manager of a restaurant in his hometown Goa.
He first came to Dubai in 1993, where he worked for le Meridian at the Airport. DeSouza attributes his success to "hard work, determination and having a goal set in your mind".
Fiorella Boretti: joins the JW Marriott Dubai kitchen team as Chef de Partie at Cucina The Italian Kitchen.
This young Argentinean has a great flair and passion for food, so much so that she worked at the JW Marriott New Orleans right the way through hurricane Katrina in August 2005, and managed the food service and rebuilding after the storm.
Fiorella began her career in the Culinary arts as a Chef in her native Argentina in 2003, and moved to the JW Marriott in New Orleans in 2004, where she assisted in the opening of the hotel's steak house, Shula's.
In 2006, hoping to extend her culinary prowess, she moved to the Courtyard Colombe in Paris and assisted in the opening of the hotel, as Chef de Partie. She now joins the team of award-winning chefs at the JW Marriott Dubai.
Candice Turner: is JW Marriott Dubai's most recent addition to the Sales and Marketing team.
With her journalist and writing background, the move to Marketing Communications and Public Relations Executive was a smooth transition for Turner.
After working as a political and crime reporter for a national newspaper in South Africa, Turner set her sights on moving into the Public Relations, and on expanding her interests in the hotel industry.
She began her career with Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek, as a Reservations Sales Coordinator, with her sights set on working as in public relations.
In a few short months, she had grasped the position, and now joins the Dubai cluster PR and Marketing team for Marriott as Marketing Communications and PR Executive looking after JW Marriott Dubai, Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek, Courtyard by Marriott Dubai Green Community and Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Green Community.
