Umniah, Jordan's latest mobile operator and a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain Group, has signed a strategic partnership with the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance in order to provide competitive preferential services and benefits their telecom and banking customers.
The Housing Bank and Umniah will launch a joint campaign promoting the monthly subscription service, 'Mazaya', which offers competitive prices and exclusive services for its clients from small and medium sized firms as well as large organizations. These include minutes bundles valid on all local networks at the best rates in addition to other services for new and existing Housing Bank credit card holders and also customers applying for personal loans.
Mr. Joseph Hanania, CEO of Umniah, and Mr. Shukri Bishara, CEO of the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, signed the strategic alliance between the telecom and banking sectors in order to fulfill the needs of the customers of both Umniah and the Housing bank and to synchronize the services and products available.
In addition to the preferential benefits of the new products, Umniah will be offering prizes for its subscribes in the form of a free monthly payment on a Housing Bank visa credit card, or a free monthly loan repayment for customers who hold personal loans with the bank.
Mr. Bishara expressed his pleasure at sealing this agreement with Umniah, stating that 'it embodies the desires of both sides to offer innovative, high quality services for its customers via a strategic partnership between the telecoms and banking sectors'. Mr. Bishara highlighted the Housing Bank's large customer base, numerous branches, and nationwide ATM network which, along with its long experience in the national banking sector, will allow the bank to support similar strategic partnerships throughout the different economic and technological fields in the country.
Mr. Bishara expressed his commitment to the partnership with Umniah, a company that, despite its recent inception, has been able to consolidate the concept of competitive customer care and has been able to achieve leaps and bounds in the competitive telecommunication services and products it offers its rapidly increasing customer base.
Mr. Hanania in turn expressed his appreciation for the Housing Bank for its pioneering and unique role in customer service. He emphasized that this strategic partnership is 'the natural result of the commitment of the two establishments to offering the best solutions, best products and best services to meet the varied needs of the individuals and companies.'
Mr. Hanania restated the commitment of Umniah to establishing a modern telecom infrastructure and the advancement of mobile communication technology in Jordan adding that, 'this type of partnership will allow Housing Bank customers to benefit from our high- quality comprehensive coverage, unique services and preferential rates and it will in turn allow Umniah customers to benefit from all that the Housing Bank represents in terms of leadership and unique services and products.'
