Starlink is poised for a big response when the programme's main two initiatives, 'Star for a Day' and, 'Reach for the Stars' are launched in the coming period.

'From the very beginning, our goal has been to establish Starlink as the company with focus on customer-service. We have always been thinking outside the box and pushed the boundaries of what a communications, media and TV entertainment distributor does. We are delighted to be able to go beyond what is expected of us, and give our customers the '5-star treatment', said Alan Sinfield, CEO of Starlink.

The 'Star for a Day' programme will give one lucky Starlink customer the chance to receive the full VIP treatment for a day. The 5-star treatment will include a make-over, limousine service, 5-star dining and accommodation, a shopping spree as well as a mobile phone upgrade.

Later this year, Starlink will launch 'Reach for the Stars', a media-generated platform to bring the world of astronomy, satellites, broadcasting and communications together in an interesting and engaging way to the general public. Through this initiative Starlink wants to introduce the public in Qatar to an exciting and little known field of science.

'The 'Star Programme' is our way of giving back something to our customers. It is the way we do business, always seeking ways to uniquely provide for our customers. While a fun and creative consumer initiative, the 'Star Programme' signals the future direction of Starlink by distinguishing the company as a customer-driven enterprise and, more than that, a new and independent voice in Qatar', Sinfield finished off.

Less than a year after launching its Communications, Media and TV Entertainment Retail Distribution Business in Qatar, Starlink emerged as the region's Best Retail Network at the 2007 Showtime Awards, reinforcing Starlink's rapid growth and strong performance since the launch of its operations.

Starlink has built its reputation on a customer-centric approach and commitment to quality customer care. With this exciting new programme, Starlink takes its customer focus outside of retail stores and into the wider local community, properly introducing Starlink to the country in which it does business.
