Between February 8th and 15th, participants will embark on the Strandloper Challenge which will raise significant funds for African charities that support children affected by poverty, violence and AIDS.

Challenge Director, Andy Jackson said, 'This is a trek in Africa's Wild Coast! It involves hiking rough and varied terrain as well as wading across rivers, which is going be a good test of fitness and determination. It's important that anyone considering taking part in the Strandloper Challenge starts training as early as possible - the fitter you are, the more you'll be able to concentrate on enjoying yourself.'

Beginning in Morgan Bay Southern Wild Coast, this 8-day adventure will see participants travel through the sand, rock and grass environments of Kei Mouth, Double Mouth, Haga Haga, Cape Henderson, Cintsa before finally reaching Gonubie.

Gulf for Good Chairman and co-founder Brian Wilkie said, 'Hiking the Strandloper Trail will be our 24th charity challenge since 2001. We realise that extremely tough trekking challenges such as Everest Base Camp and Mount Kilimanjaro are not for everyone. The Strandloper Challenge is something that anyone who maintains a good level of fitness could feel comfortable in undertaking. Whether trekking through the magnificent coastal forests or visiting the orphanages we plan to help, this is sure to be an unforgettable expedition for everyone involved.'
