Microsoft, Intel, LG shun Gitex

Microsoft, Intel and LG Electronics are among several major IT firms that will not exhibit at Gitex 2007, Gulf News reports. Microsoft has exhibited every year for the past 15 years but will now "participate in other ways". LG will focus its efforts on Gitex shoppers. Intel will collaborate with Dubai Internet City on its stand. Gitex has been moved forward two months and runs from 8-12 September.
