Al Ghurair City to host Global surprises

The Global Surprises will feature a series of exciting and unique cultural festivities. Visitors will enjoy imaginative plays and shows and can visit the many cultural corners at Al Ghurair City during the event.

The Global surprises will offer a true insight into the diverse cultures from around the world and will also mirror the many different cultures present in the U.A.E. Al Ghurair City will showcase both the rich Turkish culture and the vibrant African culture from the 2nd of August to the 8th of August.

Traditional folk dancing and wedding planning will also be a integral part of the event. Learn how a bride to be prepares for her special day in both cultures. Authentic art corners will demonstrate the fine art of Turkish lace and jewelry making and the complex art of African raffia costumes, shoes and sandals making.

Another exciting feature is the unique "Comic Heroes from around the globe" workshop. For the first time, learn about international super heroes representing different cultures.

Meet Captain Britain from the UK, Captain Canuck from Canada, Darna from the Philippines, Noora from the Arab World and many more. The workshop will offer kids the opportunity to create their own superheroes cut outs assisted by professional caricaturists.

The Global Surprises will take place from the 2nd of August to the 8th of August at Al Ghurair City. Shows and other performances begin at 5.00 pm daily during the event.
