Sainsbury, Delta set to meet

A third meeting is to be held this Wednesday between the J Sainsbury retail chain and the Qatar backed Delta Two investment fund to discuss the latter's $21.6bn preliminary acquisition proposal, reported the Dow Jones newswires. Pressure is growing on Sainsbury to either accept or reject Delta's approach which was first revealed on July 18. If the UK retailer accepts the offer, Delta will then undertake due diligence.
