Yunus Saif, the first UAE National to join the Emirates News team at DMI's Dubai One

The appointment marks DMI's continuing initiative to promote and develop a pool of talented, home grown media professionals across the spectrum of roles.

Yunus Saif joins the English news team on Dubai One, Emirates News, bringing a highly diverse and energetic background in broadcast, marketing and motor racing.

Contributing to the development of Dubai and to the vision held by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, DMI is keen to demonstrate the Emirate's expertise as a media hub for the region.

"In taking the initiative to invest in local talent and bring them to the forefront, we are building a strong foundation on which to further grow and develop this industry. The new generation of local talent are equipped with industry know-how and are aware of the dynamics and outreach of television as a medium." said DMI CEO, Hussain Ali Lootah.

DMI currently employs UAE Nationals in a variety of divisions, ranging from administration to production and programming to technical and set design, with a vision to further develop the organization's local talent pool to cover more areas.
