Majid Al Mualla is the new Manager, U.A.E. Sales, for Emirates Airline.
Majid's appointment closely follows a series of promotions and appointments announced by Emirates to power its global expansion campaign.

Previously posted as Manager Sharjah and Northern Emirates, Majid now progresses to supervise all of the seven emirates. He enjoys a decade-long experience in Commercials and Sales, having managed Emirates' operations in three regions including the Middle East, Europe and the Indian sub-continent. This will prove very beneficial as he takes over Sales for the UAE - the heart of the airline's operations and by far one of its most active centres.

Majid will report directly to Nabil Sultan, Emirates' Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran.

As part of his new portfolio, Majid will oversee sales for the airline's passenger operations, channelled through its travel hubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman, and via almost 600 travel agencies in the country.

Majid said: "I am delighted and honoured to have been given the opportunity of leading the Emirates' office in the UAE - one of its most critical markets. Dubai's Open Skies Policy and the overall growth of air travel in the UAE have resulted in a dynamic, rapidly-expanding and competitive aviation industry in the country. Together with my team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff, we will continue to ensure the Emirates service is a cut above the others."

Majid joined Emirates as a Management Trainee in 1996. He holds a Bachelor degree in Aviation Business Administration from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, USA.
