Samsung at GITEX 2007

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, a global leader in consumer electronics, today revealed its participation at GITEX 2007, taking place from September 8-12th at the Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Living up to its commitment of introducing the latest cutting-edge technology to the Middle East region, Samsung Electronics, the global digital technology leader, will offer visitors a complete, first hand digital convergence experience at this year's edition of GITEX.

Mr. Chi Won Suh, President and CEO of Samsung Middle East and Africa said,

"By show casing Samsung's products in GITEX, customers can experience the know-how of the most up-to-date designs of digital products. Each of the various display areas created at the stand will invite visitors to imagine how their distinct worlds can be made more productive and exciting through the innovative line of Samsung's design and technology. Samsung will continue to focus on technology innovation and cutting-edge design to enhance consumers' digital experiences in the Middle East and around the world."


Building on last year's participation and experiences, Samsung will welcome visitors to the world of "Imagine" in the Sheikh Rashid Hall, where we will display our latest cutting edge products at the heart of the information technology, mobile and home entertainment industries."

Samsung plans to introduce the premium mono laser and extended color product lineup, including newly added multipass and tandem products, which will further reinforce Samsung's leadership position in the B2B market place. In addition, Samsung will exhibit the slimmest mono laser printer and MFP in the world with the launch of the new lifestyle printer SCX-4500 and ML-1630.

Samsung is also introducing its full range of monitors including the 2007 IDEA design award winning 2232 GW wide screens with high quality imaging, which delivers and integrates a business and entertainment experience.

Samsung will debut a cutting-edge array of Full High Definition LCD and PDP TVs this Gitex, including a full range of 100Hz LCD TVs, with screen sizes ranging from 40'' to 70''. The range will also be available in the region soon after Gitex.

Also on display are 50'', 63'' and 80'' Full HD PDP TVs, featuring a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and offering full high-definition pictures which are nearly two times better than standard HD models. The products include a dynamic contrast ratio of 20000:1.

Enhancing its position in the digital music and image world, Samsung will showcase a wide range of MP3 players and Camcorders.

Last but not least, Samsung will exhibit its latest Ultra II edition lineup in the handheld phone category with its focus on the newly launched Samsung U700, the world slimmest HSDP slide-up style phone with its stylish and intelligent design.

In addition to the extensive portfolio of digital innovations, the Samsung Mobile Fun Club will offer visitors the opportunity to download audio and video files to their Samsung mobile handsets.
