Multimedia and Web Development Major by the Faculty of Information Technology at Ajman University of Science & Technology

A student can complete his bachelor's degree in three to four academic years. Multimedia and Web Development is the study of the creation of media-rich interactive tools and Web design principles and implementation.

At the Faculty of Information Technology, theoretical foundations of multimedia and web development relating to text, sound, and video are studied as well as their design, implementation, and applications.

The objective of the B.Sc. program is to give the student an in-depth treatment of the fundamentals of multimedia and web development and their broad applications on the Internet.

This is done by building theoretical foundations as well as practical and hands-on experience in the production of multimedia products specifically for the Web through carefully chosen curriculum.

The degree aims primarily at providing students with the knowledge and practical skills to design and implement multimedia projects using current industry standards as well as to design and implement a professional web site using software engineering and e-commerce principles.

Multimedia and Web Development graduates can undertake a variety of careers & jobs after graduation.

The following are some of the fields: web site design, web authoring systems, multimedia programming, system design (integration of software and hardware components), animation, digital video and audio processing, and pursuance of graduates studies & research.
