Following the recent announcement of general amnesty by the Government of Bahrain to over-staying hapless expatriate workers, Gulf Air, the national carrier, has come forward with a very low, one-way fare to 18 destinations for those who want to go back to their home country.

"Gulf Air always extends a helping hand for those in need," says Gulf Air Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.

"It is more of a humanitarian gesture, in line with the government's announcement of general amnesty to over-stayers in the Kingdom. We hope people will make use of this offer to be back with their nearest and dearest."

Tickets can be purchased from any of the Gulf Air travel agents, or its sales offices in Manama, Seef Mall or Sanad.

"As the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air is pleased to help ease the financial burden of these unfortunate people and help them save some money when they return home," says Gulf Air General Manager Sales Bahrain Abdulmalik Al Saei.
