- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, August 15 - 2007 at 13:46
- PRESS RELEASE
Third Centre for Integrated Government Services opens in the remotest area of Abu Dhabi Emirate.
The opening of the region's newest Centre for Integrated Government Services ("TAMM"- which means 'done' in Arabic) - was inaugurated under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council.
"This concept is simple: it's about easy access to services under one roof. Each Centre for Integrated Government Services ("TAMM") offers a unique set of services specifically designed to meet the needs of their customers," says Dr. Al Taher Mosabeh Al Kindi, Chairman of the Western Region Municipal Council.
"Residents and businesses can experience first-hand the benefits of a vision inspired by our President, H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council. This centre will provide more than 50 employment opportunities."
The Centres for Integrated Government Services ("TAMM") have a proven track record in offering efficient local services, with existing branches in Madinat Zayed and Delma Island.
The decision to introduce similar benefits to Sila has been fast-tracked by the Municipal Council, in an effort to extend services to people throughout the western region. As a result, the centre in Sila has opened as a temporary but fully operational location, until purpose-built premises are completed next year.
Hamoud Humaid Al Mansouri, General Manager of the Western Region Municipality adds: "The opening of the new centre means a better quality of life for people who live here. Simple transactions which previously took days to complete can now be processed in a matter of hours. The Centres for Integrated Government Services ("TAMM") are an important part of a larger effort to provide better services to people and businesses throughout the western region. Over the coming months, we look forward to announcing additional initiatives."
Khalifa Al Mansoori, Regional Manager, Centre for Integrated Government Services ("TAMM") says: "We are tremendously pleased to launch the centre in Sila with a complete range of services from 10 government offices. Even more services, such as a notary public and banking services, will be made available in the near future.
The Centre for Integrated Government Services ("TAMM") concept is changing the way government services are provided in the western region, one location at a time. We first began in Madinat Zayed, and have since then proceeded to open centres in the more remote areas of Delma Island and Sila, making a real difference in people's lives. Next stop Ghayathi!"
