During the five day event, visitors will get an opportunity to learn about AMD's extensive infrastructure support for its state-of-the-art platforms and the next-generation processor architecture.

On display will be PCs based on DTX, the open standard specification driven by AMD to enable the broad development of small form factor (SFF) PCs. DTX has been developed to empower industry stakeholders to deliver energy-efficient small form factor solutions that are smaller, quieter, and desktop-friendly, all while delivering rich visual experiences.

DTX embraces energy-efficient processors from AMD and other hardware vendors, and allows an optimally designed small form factor system to consume less power and generate less noise. When processor power consumption is reduced, system size and cooling costs can also go down. Energy-efficient processors can also help extend the longevity of PCs while offering consumer and business users a quiet, more pleasant experience in their offices or living rooms.

AMD will also showcase the latest in desktop, notebook and media center technologies that are built to deliver quiet yet powerful performance through energy-efficient processing.

For the gaming enthusiasts, AMD has a live demonstration of the recently introduced next-generation graphics cards, the ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 Series, a family of ten discrete graphics processing units (GPUs) for both desktop and mobile platforms. The HD 2000 series delivers the best-in-class immersive high-definition gaming and multimedia playback and also builds on AMD's Windows Vista leadership.

'We are seeing a growing trend where our customers in the Gulf are seeking more immersive, visual computing experiences such as developing and navigating rich 3D worlds, finding new ways to create and share digital media and memories, and pushing the limits of productivity with intense multitasking,'

said Gautam Srivastava, AMD's Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Managing Director for Middle East, Africa and Pakistan.

'AMD offers complete platform competitiveness to users and they can choose from our latest range of motherboards, graphics and processors that will be on display. From desktop and notebook PCs to datacenters and handheld devices, AMD continues to deliver technology solutions that improve the way we live, work and play. Our products offer better performances that are not only energy-efficient, but also visually compelling for end users,' added Srivastava.

AMD's stall is located at Hall 3, stand No. B3 -1.
