Mr. Omar M. El-Quqa, Executive Vice President at Global, said that the company has always believed that proper scientific research and knowledge are an integral element of a vibrant and sound economic environment and a prelude to rewarding investments.
"Since its inception, Global saw research as valuable economic instrument which the region has lacked and we were determined to change the prevalent attitudes back then towards research in general and to what was considered taboo of some sorts in evaluating listed companies."
"With a dedicated team of research analysts, Global was the first to introduce equity research, issue recommendations and investment updates on securities, and a constant flow of meticulous, accurate, and creditable economic reports that also cover regional as well as international economies," he added.
The poll's 14 research categories included credit, oil & natural gas, transport & logistics, retail, leisure & tourism, and cement. It also covered telecom, real estate, industrial, banking & finance, food & agriculture, economies, strategy and pharmaceuticals.
On the other said, Faisal Hassan, Head of Research at Global, affirmed that Global has a mission to add value and make a difference to the capital markets where it operates in.
"We believe that information is the key to the functioning of the markets and research plays a pivotal role in this. Our research is available freely to everyone because we believe in equal sharing of information with all classes of investors."
"Through our quality research, we strive to improve the transparency in the market, which enables investors to make more informed decisions, and thereby boosting confidence in regional capital markets. We believe our research has increased awareness of the investors locally and internationally about our region," Hassan stated.
Global research and reports has been encompassing listed companies, technical and fundamental securities analysis, industries, regional and international economies, and markets since 1998. In addition, Global issues daily standard and proprietary markets indices such as the "Global GCC Large Cap. 30 index" and the "Global GCC Investable 100 Index" and GCC Islamic Real Estate Index.
