Sharjah Municipality launches campaign against fake products

The Consumer Protection Department of the Sharjah Municipality launched a wide campaign against trading fraud and fake goods and international trademarks, in order to protect consumers.
He added, "Based on that, and according to the trading law nom 4 for the year 1979 of fighting trading fraud, and the federal law nom 37 for the year 1992 of the trademarks, we have started to organize a comprehensive campaign to fight trading fraud by sending an awareness generalization for all trading centers in Sharjah, to inform shops regarding dealing with fake trademarks and products, and to commit to the laws, and that they will be responsible about recognizing fake products and making sure of their products and its originality and reliability."
He added that Sharjah Municipality will give a limited period of time to the traders to discard the fake product, and that they will face penalties if any products found in there shops after this period.
