  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 20 - 2007 at 07:43

An official from the Sharjah Port Authority has declared that there has been no oil spill into the ocean as a result of the huge blaze at Port Khalid which engulfed an oil storage facility belonging to the Emirates Oil Lube Company, reported Gulf News. The fire broke out several hundred metres from the shore and the only visible pollution was in the form of acrid, black smoke.
