Asiacell plans $300m a year

The Asiacell Communications Company, in which Qatar Telecom has a 30% share, is looking to spend $300m a year developing its Iraqi network, reported Reuters. Asiacell won one of three mobile licences handed out by Iraq last week and it may also look to buy the Iraqi subsidiary of Egypt's Orascom Telecom, Iraqna, which pulled out of the bidding for a licence despite presently running a network in the country.
