Ducab appoints Andrew Shaw as Managing Director

Ducab, the leading manufacturer of high-quality power cables in the Middle East, announced the appointment of Andrew Shaw as the Managing Director of the company.
Mr Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, Chairman of Ducab said, "The appointment of Andrew Shaw to this key position highlights our ongoing commitment to excellence in the power cable business. His experience in this growing sector will be an asset to Ducab and will enable us to achieve the challenging targets and objectives we have set for the firm."
He added, "I am confident that with his deep sector knowledge, expertise and leadership qualities Andrew will add value to the organization to continue the high standards that the Ducab has long been associated with.'
Andrew is a graduate from the Imperial College London and has an MBA from London Business School. Andrew's most recent assignment was as China CEO for Italian multi-national Prysmian Cables and Systems. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Prysmian's affiliate in Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur. He has extensive international experience having also worked in Thailand, UK and Korea in a variety of positions.
Andrew commenting on his appointment said, "I am delighted to have joined such a strong business. I am looking forward to taking up this assignment at Ducab as the company enters a new phase in its expansion programme.
