Ducab appoints Andrew Shaw as Managing Director

A native of the UK, Andrew brings with him 10 years of expertise in the Power Cables industry. Andrew will spearhead the new direction for Ducab and focus on the growth of the business. He will also oversee the geographical expansion of the business into new areas. Andrew takes over from Walter Bailey who now resumes his duties as a non-executive Director of Ducab.

Mr Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, Chairman of Ducab said, "The appointment of Andrew Shaw to this key position highlights our ongoing commitment to excellence in the power cable business. His experience in this growing sector will be an asset to Ducab and will enable us to achieve the challenging targets and objectives we have set for the firm."

Andrew is a graduate from the Imperial College London and has an MBA from London Business School. Andrew's most recent assignment was as China CEO for Italian multi-national Prysmian Cables and Systems. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Prysmian's affiliate in Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur. He has extensive international experience having also worked in Thailand, UK and Korea in a variety of positions.
