Jumeirah launches 'Colleagues of exceptional value'

Jumeirah Group has launched 'Colleagues of Exceptional Value', a high profile colleague recognition programme designed to reward front-line colleagues who consistently perform at exceptionally high levels.

The company-wide initiative has been launched in all of Jumeirah's Dubai-based hotels and resorts as well as Wild Wadi Waterpark with a total of 26 colleagues successfully enrolled in the programme already.

Colleagues of Exceptional Value are respected, admired and above all a joy to work with. Nominated for enrollment in the programme by senior executives, these are the colleagues who are turned to for ideas, support and inspiration.

Each Colleague of Exceptional Value awarded a place in the programme is encouraged to act as a representative and motivator in a range of special company initiatives and activities including orientation for new colleagues, team building activities as well as an exciting opportunity to travel with Jumeirah Group delegates to recruit new colleagues worldwide.

There are also many opportunities for Colleagues of Exceptional Value to spend time with senior management, going beyond daily job responsibilities to learn different ways to communicate and promote ideas as well as a chance to develop confidence and public speaking skills.

Martin Mathew, a Lifeguard at Wild Wadi Water Park who has been with Jumeirah for 8 years and is now enrolled in the Colleagues of Exceptional Value programme said: "I see my contribution [to the programme] as communicating my knowledge, experience and commitment with future colleagues in Jumeirah Group. I feel honoured to be part of this team, and being with Jumeirah since 1999, I have a lot of experience to share".

Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman Jumeirah Group said: "Our front-line colleagues play a crucial role in the success of the business and acknowledging their hard work with initiatives such as the Colleagues of Exceptional Value programme is an important example of our commitment to the Group's core guiding principles in ensuring our colleagues' achievements are being supported and ultimately rewarded".

He added: "It is with great excitement that we can now recognise the outstanding levels of performance, integrity, positive attitude and commitment demonstrated within the organisation and I look forward to following each and every nominee's progression and development throughout their careers with Jumeirah".
