The inauguration comes parallel with the society's efforts to further reinforce its presence in Jordan, following its celebration of CFA Day, the 60th anniversary of the founding of the investment profession. The society has also been busy offering other activities including an annual forecasting dinner held last March.

"We highly appreciate Amwal Invest's kind support, and we are proud to have such a strong cooperative relationship with a pioneer in the financial investments market. We are also very proud of the continuous support of all our sponsors who effectively assist us in building a strong presence in Jordan and achieving the ultimate aim of developing and upgrading levels of the investment profession in the Kingdom," stated Sami Nabulsi, President of CFA Jordan.

Nabulsi added "We are always determined to contribute effectively to the investment profession in Jordan and further develop the professional and academic standards in the investment field through the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Examination Program which is held annually."

For his part, Osama Khater, Chairman of Amwal Invest emphasized the vital role of the CFA certificate in supplying an academically and professionally qualified workforce that effectively contribute in developing the financial industry, assuring that Amwal Invest will continue supporting CFA Jordan to reach its long term objectives.

Cortney McCoy, CFA's regional representative considered the inauguration of CFA Jordan's new offices as a cornerstone in the development process of the society's efforts in the Kingdom, pointing out the rapid increase in the number of the CFA Jordan's candidates achieved during last year.

CFA Jordan is a Member Society of the CFA Institute which was first established on June 11, 1947 when representatives from financial analyst societies in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia joined forces to form the National Federation of Financial Analyst Societies (NFFAS) to promote the exchange of ideas, develop a code of ethics, and support the welfare of the societies and their members.

NFFAS' name was later shortened to the Financial Analysts Federation (FAF). In 1990, the FAF merged with the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA) to form the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR), which is now CFA Institute.
