The Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Co. announces the launch of its new fleet of buses

Under the Patronage of Jordan's Minister of Transportation H.E. Mr. , the Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Co. (CMTC) has launched its new fleet of buses, thus increasing the total company fleet capacity to 305 vehicles.

The new fleet was launched at an official inauguration ceremony that took place at the Royal Automobile Museum on August 20th 2007, and will be used strictly for the purposes of public transportation network enhancement.

The Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Co. (CMTC) was first established in the year 1996 as a limited Liabilities Company operating 4 buses on the Abdali and Airport road route. In the year 1998, and upon the Jordanian Government's decision to privatize the public transportation sector, CMTC was granted license to operate a fully privatized public transportations unit. Realizing the enormity of what would be required to operate a public transportation project, CMTC evolved into a public shareholding company in the year 2006 with a registered capital of JD 10 million.

The company enjoys the distinctive partnership it forms with the Greater Amman Municipality. Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Co. owns and operates the main three companies in the public transportation sector (Al Dhilal, Asia, and Al Tawfiq Public Transport). To fully penetrate the transportation sector the firm recently raised its capital to JD 20 million.

CMTC's Fleet covers the South West route of Amman and it also covers the ring road linking most areas of the capital city together.

Today, Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Co. includes a team of 750 employees and runs a fleet of 450 buses strictly managed to the highest levels of quality This fleet serves as the primary means of transport for 170,000 - 200,000 passengers traveling over a distance of around 100,000km each day.

The firm also operates a leasing unit that leases high quality busses. In this unit it operates 30 buses.
