ProAir, applied to Parador wooden flooring in the factory, uses natural proteins, similar to those found in lamb's wool to absorb and neutralise harmful or toxic substances and odours from the air, including tobacco smoke and formaldehydes, commonly found in products used at homes and in offices.

According to recent studies, airborne pollutant levels in the Middle East are rising at an alarming rate, contributing to asthma, bronchitis, allergies and colds.

Further, due to the excessive heat in this region people spend most of their day in air-conditioned environments, making them particularly susceptible to toxins and airborne diseases.

"Parador has built a solid reputation for manufacturing attractive and durable flooring," said Arun Raina, Business Manager, OFIS, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group. "But ProAir technology takes customer care to a new level. It is the first system of its kind in the world, one that helps promote the health and safety of family members."

Dr. Ganaraj Bhaskar, General Practitioner at Medcare Hospital, said "Airborne impurities can have a significant impact not only on our bodies but on our minds. There is a direct correlation between low air-quality and performance at work. Indoor pollutants can affect a person's ability to concentrate, and can contribute to mood swings, depression and stress."

Available in laminate, engineered and solid-wood options, ProAir-infused Parador flooring guarantees quality finishes combined with attractive designs, colours and wood types for homes and offices. Available woods include Oak Gunstock, Natural Oak, Merbau, Walnut Limed and Smoked Oak Butcher-block in satin finish.

Parador is the preferred supplier of flooring worldwide, currently exporting its products to 65 countries. Locally, Parador products are offered exclusively at the OFIS showroom in Dubai, at the foot of Maktoum Bridge, and the ABN Amro Building at the junction of Salam-Hamdan street in Abu Dhabi.

OFIS is the furniture, flooring and interior solutions business of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group (ESAG). The company has been in the business of office furniture for almost two decades and was formally known as Technical and Trading Establishment.
