Commenting on this programme, Dr. Eesa Mohamed Bastaki, Director of Education & Technology - Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), said: "Interns at DSOA gained an array of benefits, which included exposure to modern work and business culture, a necessary and valuable experience for college graduates entering the job market. They also got the chance to determine if the industry and the profession are the best career options to pursue. In addition, the programme offered the interns the ability to combine theory with practical work experience and develop professional work habits, which will entitle them to obtain eligibility for a full time employment offer after graduation."

The students from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) were selected based on their preference and academic performance. During the course of the program students were assigned a scheduled group of tasks, including mini research projects, and new technology arenas investigation. Moreover, students were provided with the opportunity to participate in special seminars; thus maximizing their exposure to the industry, all this to provide them with an experience relevant to their interest and future aspirations. Upon conclusion of the programme the students were evaluated and received a "Certificate of Participation".
