The first batch of recruits, who all have previous first-class cabin or corporate airline experience, are now undergoing in-depth training in VIP service, which spans emergency safety procedures, including first aid, security and crew resource management, gourmet meal planning and preparation, silver-service in-flight catering and cross-cultural protocol covering a full understanding of international cuisine as well as cultural, dietary and religious requirements.
'Our recruitment is ongoing as we expand to service growing aviation-on-demand markets both within the Middle East and beyond,' explained Shane O'Hare, Royal Jet's President and CEO. 'Though those successful in our stringent recruitment process have considerable experience, we implement exhaustive training programmes to ensure that our extremely high service standards are met to the fullest. We are aware of the need to consistently set service benchmarks as competition in the market intensifies.'
'In the past year the Royal Jet fleet has grown from eight to 12 fixed wing aircraft and a VIP helicopter and further aircraft acquisitions are currently being identified and negotiated,' said O'Hare.
