Sainsbury gives Delta Two time

UK supermarket chain J Sainsbury is to give Qatar's Delta Two investment fund more time to raise the equity factor of its $21.6bn bid for the retailer, reported the Financial Times. Sainsbury has put off approaching Britain's Takeover Panel in order to set a deadline on talks that have been ongoing for five weeks. Sainsbury is uneasy with too much debt being part of the deal in light of recent market volatility.
