Tested over a weekend through the highways and streets of Dubai, it was an exceptionally comfortable and smooth ride, offering lots of legroom for both front and rear passengers. Rear passengers benefit the most from this sedan, filled with controls and gadgets, allowing the chauffer driven executive all the necessary room to get work done with the utmost comfort.

Front passengers will enjoy Bentley's classical wooden interior coupled with up to date gadgets including audio and air conditioning control from the steering wheel. The large centre panel screen allows easy use of the GPS system and related controls. With a six CD changer in the front glove compartment, the sound system and speakers deliver quality audio.

The Continental Flying Spur, is a heavy, well-built and solid car, giving a feeling of safety when driving through busy streets. The interior shouts luxury, with the Breitling analog clock above the digital console, high quality carpet floormats, leather and chrome combination gear stick and a power sunroof.

For thrills, like most cars today, it is tiptronic enabled but this high performance car also allows steering wheel gear shifting for those Formula One enthusiasts. Gear shifting is smooth allowing you to accelerate instantly.

In addition, deep storage space makes this perfect for those wanting a high performance luxury vehicle able to cater for their family as well.

For those strong summers in the Arabian Gulf, the A/C could have been a lot stronger, as the air-condition took a while to cool the whole car after being parked in the sun for a short while, making the start of a journey hot and uncomfortable. On the flip side, the rear passengers have their own A/C tabs allowing them to control temperature and fan power.

Costing around $230,000, depending on specifications and market, the 2007 Bentley Continental Flying Spur is aimed for the top end of the market and meets the dual thrill and comfort needs for the successful businessman. Turning heads wherever it was driven across Dubai, Bentley has set high standards for the rest of the competition.

The 2008 Continental Flying Spur will arrive later this year, with minor updates expected. If it's the Bentley you want, we suggest you order yours in advance, as it's is usually out of stock and subject to a waiting list.
