Injazat Data Systems, the region's leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and provider, has announced today the launch of The Injazat Institute, a business-oriented career development initiative that aims to enhance the competency of the UAE's IT professionals and improve their ability to support their organisations. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Beach Rotana Hotel, in Abu Dhabi.

As one of the country's leading proponents of Emiratisation, Injazat Data Systems has initially prioritized UAE nationals to be the pioneering candidates of The Injazat Institute, although the programme will be open to expat candidates from within Injazat and, in a future step, from other organisations.

Speaking at the press conference, Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems, said, "The Injazat Institute is focused on developing internationally competent IT professionals by combining comprehensive IT training with insightful business inputs and extensive hands-on operational exposure." Lari added, "We will achieve this by partnering with universities, technology leaders, training companies and certification bodies, aiming to deliver applied learning in a business context."

The Injazat Institute will provide business and technical training according to constantly updated programs, which are developed to meet the demands of the fast-evolving business environment. The Injazat Institute will have two components: The Injazat Way, which is a programme aimed at developing core business competencies in the context of Injazat Data Systems' business and organisation; and Applied Job Related Training, which is a series of formal training modules focused on the needs of a specific range of job requirements.

The programmes have been designed to provide Injazat Data Systems' staff with a regular skills development facility and also to share the company's highly successful IT programmes and best practices with other IT professionals, in a move predicted to strengthen the company's image as a world-class IT organisation.

"The Injazat Institute presents a dynamic and friendly environment where each is expected to work hard. It also gives each student an opportunity to learn through a combination of classroom and on-the-job experiences as they are encouraged to explore beyond their limits in a highly supportive environment," said Dr. Yousif Asfour, Director, The Injazat Institute.

To further enhance learning and provide better assessment, the Injazat Institute will also provide regular coaching during periods of on-the-job training. This will help match the mode of training and its content with the career development aspirations of each individual. Graduates of the Injazat Institute will receive relevant certifications, which will boost their credentials and give them better career opportunities.

The first group of students of The Injazat Institute will enter classes in the first week of September, while subsequent training programmes will be prioritised, based on business needs. The Injazat Institute aims to produce around 60 graduates in the Injazat Way Training Programme by year's end.

"The Injazat Institute represents another step in the growth of Injazat Data Systems as a significant player in the IT market, both in the UAE and the wider region. It will also promote the professional nature of our workforce, enhancing our reputation as an excellent provider of IT services to our clients," concluded Lari.
