Over 80 UAE national students from high schools, higher colleges of technology and universities spent the past summer months working in various departments of the Emirates Group, ranging from Dnata Baggage Services to Emirates Flight Operations.

They were presented with certificates on Thursday 23rd August at a ceremony at the Emirates Aviation College by Masooma Hassan, Emirates' Manager National Recruitment & Development.

Addressing the graduates, Amira Al Awadhi, Emirates' National Selection & Recruitment Manager, said: 'Over 400 students applied for places in our Summer Training Scheme and just 87 of you were chosen. You have experienced Emirates' commitment to its young people by our investment in career-training and development, in addition to professional grooming such as the mentoring scheme.

'We thank you for spending your summer vacation working with us and participating in this exciting industry.'

Also thanked were Emirates employees who participated in the recent Careers Fair in March, helping over 3,000 young people apply for career training programmes with Emirates. The team had also visited schools around the UAE to create awareness of the company's career opportunities.
