Besides getting a preview of the technologically advanced next generation OLED display, visitors will be able to experience all components of Sony's High Definition product portfolio, including the cinematic brilliance of the world's first commercially available large venue 4K projector, the SRX-R110. Other High Definition highlights include professional broadcast camcorders; HVR-V1E HDV camcorder, the perfect entry to the world of HD; PDW-F350 XDCAM camcorder, Sony's first tape-less broadcast camcorder; HDW-F900R HDCAM camcorder, the world's most established HD format.

Another key highlight of the Sony Stand is "The Sony High Definition Quiz Show", aiming to educate and inform visitors on the benefits of High Definition and Sony's wide range of High Definition products. The Sony High Definition Quiz Show will be held on each day of the GITEX week at the Sony Stand located in the Sheikh Rashid Hall at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and participants as well as the audience will get a chance to win some exciting Sony products and/or a Sony goody bag.

"High Definition represents the future of film, television and gaming and yet we're finding that consumers are still unsure when it comes to understanding the relevance of key components such as Full HD or Blu-ray Disc. As pioneers of, and market leaders in High Definition technology, Sony is ideally placed to help consumers better understand the intricacies and fantastic imagery of High Definition and the Sony High Definition Quiz Show is a great way of informing and familiarizing visitors on the benefits of High Definition," added Mr. Miura.
